How we started:

In June 2003, Robinson Elementary parents were given 15 days to raise $78,000 to hire three more teachers to save 20-1 class size in third grade for the 2003-04 school year.

The Robinson Elementary Education Foundation, Inc. (REEF) was quickly established to funnel donations from Robinson families, community residents and local businesses to this effort.  REEF is a California nonprofit public benefit Corporation organized by parents and community members.

We were successful in raising the money needed to reinstate 20 to 1 in third grade.  This was a huge victory for our school and community.  After all, increased class sizes are a direct threat to the excellent standard of education we have come to expect at Robinson Elementary.

2004-2005, 2005-2006 School Years:

REEF supplied funding for the K-3 Music Program at Robinson, as well as giving upper grade music support, and helping to enable the library to expand its resources. REEF also helped to support the PTA, and other school programs, with their future needs.

Who we are today:

REEF now supplies funding for the Kindergarten Music Program at Robinson, as well as giving upper grade music support, and helping to enable the library to expand its resources. REEF is also helping to support the PTA, and other school programs, with their future needs.
